last weekend we took a mini-vaca down to portland to celebrate amanda and the upcoming arrival of baby daphne. shanny and i threw her a very delicious shower. daddy was on coen duty while we prepped everything…they had quite the time. it was nice to hang out and relax…yes hosting a shower is relaxing to me these days! of course, on our way home we hit mcmenamin’s for some good food.
coen loooves the swimming pool! once a week we go to a swimming class in a warm water pool (about 95 degrees). not only does he love to back float, but we just started “dipping” him underwater! on sunday afternoons we take him to “family swim” so daddy can see all the fun stuff he is learning.
our oldest niece, bella made quite the zoo keeper this halloween. she made sure her little sister and coen stayed in check. we had a blast celebrating our 1st halloween with coen! early in the day we took coen to a halloween kids concert at the seattle symphony. it was very fun to see all the kids (over 500!) dressed up. later in the evening, bella and gianna came over for a little trick or treating! oh, and lily dressed up like a squirrel…she loves squirrels. it was quite a rhino-riffic time!
it’s official, jenni’s most favorite time of year has arrived. fall brings on a never ending line of festivities and traditions…having a child to share them with this year makes it just soooo much fun. (poor wes, he has NO idea what he is in for!) today we took coen to the pumpkin patch at remilnger farms. we searched and searched, till everyone found their perfect pumpkin…even coen! enjoy these beautiful fall photos!
we are very excited to have just received coen’s 5 month professional pictures! he was in a great mood for the entire shoot, and the photographer even captured a “messy” moment! coen’s cousin’s, bella & gianna also joined us for the shoot…it was a rougher day on them. enjoy the pictures!
wes finally got to enjoy his father’s day gift. yesterday, we took him to a seattle sounders vs chivas usa soccer game! we decided to take the bus into the city, since parking can be difficult near qwest field. coen enjoyed the whole experience. he actually stayed awake through the entire game, and crashed as soon as we headed out of the stadium.
coen had his very first swim class today, and he LOVED it! of course the only picture i could get was before we got into the pool. our “waterbabies” class is held in a warm water pool (about 95 degrees) and the class is all boys! today we worked on ‘back floating’ and coen was in heaven! by the end of class he was almost asleep in my arms!
